Jeff

So what...............there have been plastic / metal wands before, the only problem was balance, or lack of it.

Just trying to comunicate a detail I find disturbing in a professional tool, and I don't for a second assume everyone here also reads on truckmounters forum Paul.

I won't comment further on this tool.

no offence meant here to portys but anyone with a truck-mount thinking of the 16" tool, make sure you get at least a hybrid glide on it, been using the wand a lot this week and a few times i have given up with it as it sucks too much with the slotted glide, it's ok if it's on an open weave type carpet but if the carpet is low profile you can hardly move the da** thing!  it's the 2" vac barrel that makes the difference i think, with the 1.5" tube it is probably ok.

I have just recently brought a green glides wand and i must say im more than impressed with it. It cleans amazing and the dryin times are fantastic.

Im sure this evoultion wand cleans just as well but like i find with computers, you buy one and another souped uped amazing new super new model always comes out. ???

For me im staying with the greenglides wand as like everything new there is lots of hype surrounding it. I made the decision to spend £500 on the greenhorn as im really happy with it and cleaning carpets at 500psi is amazing. I was worried about the drying times but after spending a week phoning the customers to see the drying times i was impressed. The only thing is ive noticed i use a lot more water but it sure seems to flush the dirt out quicked

Luc the Greenhorn is supplied with jets flow totaling 8 i got another set giving me the more standard 6 flow.

However i agree the wand seems to flush the dirt out of the carpet with the 8 flow but i was using to much water.

I now swap to suite the carpet i love the wand and with the 12" head it is not to heavy. :)

Do you really need 500 to clean the average carpet ?

Hi carpet guy,

I dont obviously use 500psi on everyjob ie wool or fairly clean carpets, i have howerver had several dirty end of tenneacy jobs and have found that when working at say 300 the greenhorn dose not seem to flush it as throughly as at 500, I'm not sure if this is because the jets are angled differant. When i was using my old 2jet westpack wand i never went over 350. I emailed greenglides and he assured me to try cleaning at higher psi and i must admit i was nervous at first but cleaning sone dirty nightclub at 500psi is amazing and defiantly cleans quicker i have found

Spencer

If you are watching, look at the wand you got with the TM and if you are pushing that all day  (remember it's stuck to the carpet) then a nice wand will help you loads, I have a Titanium wand £800 plus the vat and it is far easier to use than my Westpak by a country mile, an Evo wand at these prices are a steal although I'm not buying one it would have saved me loads.

A wand is not just for Christmas it's for life - your life! make it easier on yourself.
