Yellowish stains
« on: March 29, 2008, 08:15:56 pm »
Hello everyone

I recently cleaned carpets in a house for one of my local letting agents, the carpets are light green 80/20. each room has yellowish stains from the previous tenant. The stains look like spills, probably either orange juice or tea. They did not come out:( I tried mostly everything. I have thought of debrowning but because the carpet is a light green colour will I be opening a can of worms?

I have attached 2 photos to show. Hope it helps. as you can see the yellow stains are very light but stand out.

RX for juice with hot iron method could do it but I'd say to the agent that it's irrimovable because I think it is.

Could try acid rinsing followed by debrowner.

Thanks for the replies so far:)  It is not urine, previous tenant had no pets. The photo shows the only circular stain the rest are oblong.

Has anyone ever had a problem like this before and if you where going to debrown how would you go about it: Debrowner or Hydrogen peroxide with dryer, or even slow process with vinegar? . I reckon it would be tricky with the different coloured flecks in the carpet???

What do you reckon??

Carpet look pinkish to me, could be wood dye/rust what have pets got to do with urine?  Would also go down Shaun route irremovable, it commercial bargain basement time, ;D  never promise stain removal, but as you say I have tried. ;)
