Can anyone recommend how to remove tabacco / cigarette odour from a leather chair.

Thanks.

I'd either use an ozone generator or fogging with smoke solv from chemspec.
Usually the pores in the leather allow  the smoke to penetrate the cushioning which is were you need to get the odour treatment.
Whatever you do don't use chemicals directly on the leather without doing a  test patch in an inconspicuous area first.
It may be a long process and still be no better. Smoke is an oily fine, charged particle and penetrates and adheres to everything.

Thanks for the advice. I guess it's a hard one this since not many have replied. I researched and found that vodka can be used. Has anyone tried it??

I guess if you drink enough of it you won't notice.
It is a very tricky one for reasons given above. I used to get a lot of beaters contact me with this issue.
I was told not to use ozone because it dries the leather too much. I am not too sure if that is true or not.
A leather specialist friend of mine said the same about the cushions and said he had had some success with taking the underneath of the sofa off and putting cat litter inside. The litter absorbs the smell but it wasn't a two minute job and like a lot of leather restoration the costs usually make it financially unviable.
Couldn't resist the vodka comment sorry.

I had a leather cushion from a chair that a cat had weed on and I tried everything to get the smell from interior and cover. After a bit of research I left the items suspended outside in the garden with a makeshift roof for 3 days and  the smell had gone, constant air movement had a dilutory effect. Simon

With jobs like this you can get bogged down and spend more time than the work is worth. Plus in the end you don't know what the outcome will be, which is why I steer clear of anything like this.

Em Clean is the go to product for all odours and bacteria on leather.
It is safe to use on leather and fabric and can be sprayed and left to do its job.

Hope this helps

do you mean clean it first, then spray on EM and just leave it on the leather at the end of the job?
