WFP Suppliers
« on: September 14, 2006, 10:57:11 am »
Hi Guys,

Im just wondering if there are any WFP suppliers out there that dont close down for there holidays or just decide that there unavailable for the day, so actually run it as a business with staff to cover holidays and somebody at the end of the phone 9-5 Mon to Fri.

Pretty much the only time I need these guys is when something has gone wrong with my system (like now) thus preventing me working and I find it incredibly frustrating when im not earning and I cant contact my suppliers.

Im not having a go at anyone in particular, its just a general gripe and im wondering if anyone has an answer!!

Kind Regards

Alistair

Good point!

Also... All suppliers seem to be web based. I don't know of any shops that sell WFP equipment that you can just pop into as and when you need stuff.

SCS,

That would be great, somewhere you can just nip into when something breaks but im not aware of any of the suppliers being based in the Northwest.

Anyway, just a company thats easy to get hold of with next day delivery will do!!

Of my 2 main suppliers, 1 is on holiday for the weeks and the 2nd was asked a pre-order question at 11.30am yesterday and im still waiting for a response  >:(

Hey lads,

The price you all want to pay for bits, there be no money left to run a shop. The web is simple and cheap.

Steve,

Like I said a shop would be nice but just a reliable contactable supplier will do

Fair point Eddie,

It does look as if its going that way, but that really is not my aim I just wanted someone to post a reply with the name of a supplier who fulfilled the criteria set out above!

I thinks its just a bit of frustration creeping in because Ive not be able to work for the past 2 days.

windowcleaningwarehouse are second to none for speed of delivery and service.

I ordered a new pole and various bits at 4.45pm on thursday and they were on my doorstep at 9.00am the next day.

If you need waterfed pole stuff.

There is brodex in Southport.
Andrews water treatment also in Southport.
Both these have web sites as well
I think Omnipole also  have a place in the north west.

John,

Your a life saver thats great, you see why I took care to say 'I wasnt AWARE of any suppliers in the Northwest'   ;D

I'll take a look at their websites now but aren't Brodex and Omnipole only poles - probably wrong.

God if I could call in on these guys when something breaks that'll be great

Thanks again John

Cheers Dave,

Jeez its a small world, I was down at Worsley Church (St. Marks I think) a couple of weeks ago for a friends wedding then over to the Marriot afterwards, how expensive are the drinks in that place  ??? £19 for 2 glasses of wine and 1 pint.

This Moxhams do they supply WFP parts or just squeeges etc

I think it is the Federation of Master Windowcleaners, that Dave is talking about.

You see Alistair you need to be experienced to understand some things & not wet behind the ears ;) ;) ;) ;)

Yeah just like that one  ;D

I know there are many benefits on offer for joining a fed or assocation.

But to be truthful all im interested in is the logo on my van and paperwork with the aim of giving some piece of mind to the customer. So if you can organise me a nice discount considering I dont need any of the other membership benefits  ;)

Dave,

I know its wrong but Im already sold on APWC, and its all because your logo is nicer than all the other Feds.

I should look at the benefits that membership brings in each fed but Im just interested in how it appears on my van.......why would I want a logo with a set of pointers on it I dont use them.

Oh and if you want to email me with the icing I promise I wont say anything  :-X

Regards
