Signs
« on: September 07, 2006, 06:08:48 pm »
Hi all, should be up and running with my new waterfed pole system in the next few weeks which im looking forward to imensely.
Anyway was thinking of signs to say window cleaning in progress, are these ok or do i have to have something on them to say warning trip hazard, ie because of the hose running across paths ect, or does this not matter as long as i have signs?? Plus any good places to buy from??

Hi I got mine from cleantech, cheap but kept blowing away today on a comercial job that insist on me useing them.
I also have a caution wet floor sign that I aquired from my previous employer if you know what I mean, that is much heavier and that just blew over.
Will have to find a way to weight them down.
Drew.
It was this big.

www.reachandclean.co.uk sell heavy duty "Trailing Hoses Window Cleaning In Progress" signs for £29.92 + VAT + delivery charges if anyone is interested although you may need a sandbag to weigh them down on very windy days. I appologise if I'm not allowed to promote other websites but I posted this one for us window cleaners to cover ourselves against claims from the public.

I got some bright yellow "Wet Floor" cones from screwfix, 5 for 25, and I have yet to have one blow over. Does  the job for me.

Take it from me they DO blow over on windy days as we are both on about the same signs. Obviously I work on windier days than you do!
