Title: Before and After Pictures
Post by: Kev Martin on April 26, 2012, 03:13:08 pm
I thought i would upload some before and after photos of a little of our work.  I have only put some of the easier stuff on which can be achieved with a standards Rotary scrubber and a decent wet vac coupled with a little knowledge.

It is intended to show you what can be achieved

The first two shots are Quarry Tiles sealed unevenly.  We cleaned the floor and then sealed with Aqua Mix Enrich N Seal.

These three shots are a limestone floor laid badly with lippage.  We ground the floor and then honed it and finally sealed it with Aqua Mix Sealers Choice Gold.

This is a great one.  It is a Black Granite that the customer decided the grout wasn't dark enough so he tried to darken it himself using Dylon Clothes Dye.

We deep cleaned it several times.  Then re polished and sealed it with Aqua Mix Enrich N Seal.

This is a very expensive porcelain in one of HM Crown Courts covered in grout haze that they could not get off.

We cleaned it over 3 days 266M2 with a complicated process and then sealed it with Aqua Mix Enrich N Seal.

This limestone at a large house by the seaside.  It is covered in all sorts of wax and badly applied sealer.

We deep cleaned it and then sealed it with Aqua Mix Sealers Choice Gold Sealer

Just remembered this one from last year - I did this job with nothing more than a rotary, a scraper, acid, some alkaline chems, a mop, and some polish.

Victorian & Edwardian Dust Pressed, Geometrics and Encaustics always look impressive.  Nice job there!  I will try and post a few of those for you next week.

Kev,
Would klindex supershine pads be any use on porcelain tiles like these?

Kev with some Nulife colour enhancing impregnater didn't make much difference to colours. Using up my Nulife gear before I move over to Aquamix stuff completely.

Getting loads of calls for hard floors from website but need to work out my pricing structure and I think many are picking up on my lack of confidence in the Stone sector. Will have a chat when I come down next week.

No problem.  Antony will see you next week mate as I am in Amsterdam at ISSA.  I am hoping to be back Friday with a bit of luck so may see you for the second half of the last day of your Grinding Introduction course.

Nulife colour enhancing impregnater

I have had this problem before then I read the bottle and realised I hadnt been turning the bottle upside down before use.
When I got to the end of the bottle there was a big lump of resin left.
Since then we havent had a problem with it.
