Title: Hose size
Post by: Kevin wilding on December 08, 2019, 10:05:48 pm
Would a 1 ½ inch hose generate more suction than a 2 inch hose?

Or am I just thinking silly thoughts? 🤷‍♂️😂

no , not really , as in if you put a lift guage on both setups ... it will read the same  , the time to reach max lift mught vary a fraction between both but negligable over typical runs .
2" is said to preserve airflow better over long hose runs .

I see you other post ( in some obsure place )   :)

how can you get more performance from your powerflite  ,  are your motors 2011 ?   if so just new vacs should give a bit more performance as id say the ones you have are tired  ,  there are different wattage 5.7 vacs  ....   two of these 1400w should work

There is also a 1600w + a 1200w combo often used by ashbys that would work .  You can get those vacs from many suppliers , alltec , restormate others

There is a reference here  to that motor  model number in your pic .

https://shop.monsterjanitorial.com/powr-flite-1989-a-motor-2-stg-230v-061000049-01-replaced-1989-ie/

If thats what they are , two stages ,ancient weak things  , you would see a good improvement switching to the vacs i linked to .
