Try these I haven't looked but they sell reals on eBay so may have what you are after.
-
Thanks guys but none of them places have what I need......this is really frustrating! >:(
It's leaking 24 hours a day and nothing I do seems to work.....
-
You haven't said what size it is. Any of these any good? https://weldes.co.uk/gb/78-quick-connectors
-
Or these https://ph.parker.com/us/en/series-26-quick-coupling. I think they used to sell on eBay?
-
Which bit is leaking? If it's a thread have you tried PTFE tape? You'll need about 10 wraps of it for it to work properly.
-
Why can’t you just replace the whole joint? That’s what I’d do.
-
Circuit hydraulics will have that part daz
He doesn’t advertise a lot of the stuff he sells but he’s got a unit full of alkinds ….. he’s based in Southport.
He’s on eBay circuit-hydraulics ( I think that’s how it spelt ) his name is Richard and he’s a propa nice guy send him a message and he will get back to u
-
Haven’t you got a shut off valve on the tank outlet? It would only leak the hours you work then …………… about two hours a day.
-
I’ve got a brand new one on the other side of the heater for the second reel if you want it Daz 🤣🤣 you should have got a 2 man.
-
Cover the male and female threads in Vaseline that might keep it at bay for a while.
-
Why have you got 5ml hose coming out of that fitting Daz.
-

It's leaking from the threaded bit....tried PTFE tape and plumbers sealant......I've tried to use all sorts of rubber washers too to no avail.....

Normally I have my hot hose into reel but plugged some pole hose in while i was working on the heater....

The rectus fitting is the shut off valve.....its leaking from the threaded nut bit.....
-

The whole joint is not leaking though.....its only the threaded rectus fitting

I'm pretty sure PTFE tape would seal it Daz, I have plumbing experience. You need a lot of wraps on it, best way to describe it would be enough so that it looks like too much, like you'll not get the nut back on. Other than that, I suspect the part could be broken, like fractured in which case you'll not fix it.

It's not fractured either as I've checked numerous times....the problem has got to be a special type of rubber gasket/seal that needs fitting to ensure a water tight fit

You will have to make one Daz its 2 parts
this

The whole joint is not leaking though.....its only the threaded rectus fitting
But you can’t find the part so just replace the whole thing.
-
Is this a part that Grippa would replace on one of their recommended £500 annual services?
-

It's not the reel that's the problem spruce...its the stainless steel elbow and fitting coming out of the heater going into my reel...the water is very hot so needs to be a tight seal....
-

Sometimes I've seen the wrong fitting being used.

Looks good spruce but I need a connector and not a barb for easy disconnect when I get an occasional airlock or removing my reel to gain access to my heater cabinet
-
Thanks for that spruce...🙂....I've actually ordered one as a spare....as it will be handy in an emergency situation.....
-
ive now got 3 spare rubber seals,1 spare double valve connector and 2 spare stainless steel elbows! ;D
learnt my lesson now..... :)
-
Should be ok for the next twelve years then.
