Well that was the most frustrating you tube clip I have ever watched.  The amount of water used in the clip was a scandal, he must have half emptied the reservoir for that area on a couple of panes of glass.
And did you see the amount of water on the road before he was even half way through?

hi guys every video on youtube iv seen has people rinsing with brush off, i want to see how its done with the brush on the glass as it must be quicker.
And sooner or later you will need to keep the brush on the glass so i just want to get it right.

cheers joe

IF thats it im putting way to much effort in my windows, it did not look like you rinsed at all.
And you get good results like that allday peter??
if i could get the hang of it and still get a good finish i would only be out half the time.
How much dose the brush cost you use with out the auto bit?

cheers peter

I was expecting the other video, where you clean the windows really quick.

Why are you cleaning at this pace in this video? Is that your normal everyday pace for cleaning windows?

The video link i posted was the first one i found...

peter, your video link is good and makes it look easy.

but i am a bit worried that the top frame is hardly being touched, hence dirty water may rub down the glass.

it may be me being too scared to risk , but i scrub and rinse my top frames with vigour.. as i believe if there is going to be any dirt , thats where it will run from....

just my opinion.  ;)

Like all skills it's down to personal preference.  Some people can give a quick splash and the job's done perfectly, others give huge attention to detail and still fail.

The only real answer is practice till you find the technique that suits you.

Ionics training course tells you to rinse down the glass with sideways strokes in a shallow zig-zag with the brush 'on', but they say it only works with their 'special' brushes.

I tend to rinse 'off' wherever possible, and tilt the brush if holding it off is impractical, but I do have one area of houses where the price is far too low - so I just give them a quick 'up and down' and then side to side rinse with the brush on - they come up perfect every time ::)

Try encoding it in Divx to reduce the size of it. Can't you upload it to Youtube?
