Title: Fullers Earth
Post by: L.Doubtfire - The Blade Runner on July 06, 2008, 07:33:21 pm
Does anyone still use Fullers Earth for putting down on
Kitchen or bathroom floors for relaying a foam or rubber
Backed carpet after the customer has had a flood.I`ve always
Used good grade paper or even newspaper to stop the carpet
Sticking to the floor. An old work collegue of mine used to
Use it years ago,I never got around to it myself. Is it any good ?
Is it recommended ? Thanks for replies.

Hi Lewis
I`v never heard of using Fullers Earth,
I`v allways used proper lining paper, from carpet supplier
Around £15 for a roll , it goes a long way.

yup the mod use it, you have to rub it into your hair and skin and inside your respirator when doing cannister changes in an NBC environment it soaks up liquid chemicals

I have used it to get grease stains out of my shirt.
you spread it on the stain iron it on and leave it on for a while then wash it ,it soaks up all the moisture.

I have always been led to believe that Fullers Earth proper name is DIATOMACEOUS EARTH, but I may be wrong.

Whilst kitty litter is usually made from zeolite or diatomite.

All of these products are clays.
