The Host System / The Von Shrader System
« on: February 05, 2013, 12:29:51 pm »
Can members who have extensive experience of the Host system
And Von Shrader system, which is the safest and most thorough?
I`m thinking of going down the route of one or the other, not both,
Depending upon which would be the best option. This in only on
Lightly soiled carpets because on most soilage situations I prefer
HWE.
Thanks in advance for comments / replies.

I think you will find that host von schrader is the company / brand name.

as far as i am aware there is only one system for carpet cleaning but there are three machines starting with the freestyle which is what i use for 50% of the jobs i do.
I use various cleaning solutions , nemesis followed by envirodri micro sponges, also releasit or surround mostly on their own but sometimes with micro sponges.

I bought my machine at a good price but if i was intending to buy a new machine it would not be a host and i would never use their cleaning products. the system is very expensive imo.

if still available i am told the flexi 5 is equal to the host and i am sure some of the other guys on here could advise about other machines on the market

Hi Lewis

I think the Von Schrader foam system is for upholstery only. I use mine on pigmented leather but I also know you can use it on fabric-the advantage being that it has the 2 contra rotating brushes to ensure there is no pull on the fabric.
