Ford Transit vans

Hi all

I've been looking at vans today ... some good some not but one thing i'm not so sure on is whats the differance between the "80" & the  "100" & the "150" ... is this a differance in van size or load space or max load

I figure the swb, mwb, lwb means short, medium & long wheel base

Hi chris the difference between a transit 80 and a transit 150 is that the 80 has a payload of 800kg and the 150 has a payload of 1500kg.

Exactly the same as ronaldo.

I have a transit 120 which is a 1200kg payload

Thanks guys ,  nearly bought an 80 swb today thinking a 650l tank would go in there quite nicely

I'm still shopping for a van

who'd think it was so bloody hard to find a van ...... I bet if i had nothing to spend there would be loads of then :'(

Chris try this link as u can see the vehicles before they even go into the paper, and find them close to home i used it myself a couple of weeks ago to seek out a mitsuibishi warrior for the mrs and found a right beauty the link is www.autotrader.co.uk.

CHRIS: WITH A LITTLE HINESIGHT a double wheel base would be the best option,one wheel pops 650 litres swilling about wow not for me,long wheel base as well,had room to swing a cat,it was involved in a fire now trying to fit all my tackle in a ldv pilot and carnt swing a mouse in it.

800 kilos  maybe not enough for me I need to carry a p/washer too so also need more space for extra bits and bobs

Your welcome, they've got a good name locally.
Copy the map though.
It is in the middle of nowhere and not signposted at all.
It is very hard to find without a map.
