First cleans over-what next?
« on: July 26, 2006, 01:43:40 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I have spent time on my first cleans using wfp. The tops have been scrubed and rinsed 3/4 times and the rest of the window at least twice and rinsed loads.I have been very pleased with the rusults. Can someone tell me, on my next cleans do you continue to clean the tops of the window frame?

Many Thanks,

Paul.

Hi,

I always give the top frame a good scrub on every window everytime before I clean the glass.

You've done the 'spade work', so just keep them clean every time.  Otherwise it won't be long before you'll be back where you started.

Hi pt,

I allways give the top frames a go over, just saves that worry of runs.

I give all the glass and frames a clean evertime.
That way you get no problems.

Me too. I always go left to right 3 times (but include the top of glass), then down the sides of frames, then the glass itself from top to bottom then the bottom of frames followed by left to right a couple of times on sills. on 2nd clean that should take about a minute

Paul,

We always wash all frames and cills.  The only exceptions are the ones that have vents in  them.

IMO (an experience) you create an opportunity to loosen built up grime which just runs down the windows and creates a messwhich will need extra effort to get sparkling  :D

Paul,

I'm guessing you live in a house that you can clean with a WFP.

I know I'm stating the obvious here, but have a go at cleaning your own windows with the WFP in the quickest manner you can.

Just a quick scrub and rinse.  Try also cleaning some top frames and missing others.

Check the results; you'll be pleasantly surprised at how quick you can be; hopefully!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the replies. It seems that I should carry on as I am doing which was what I thought.

Many Thanks,

Paul.
