Custy took me out in his porsche 911!

went and did a bit of collecting tonight and one of my custies paid me then took me out in his porsche 911 turbo!RUDDY HELL!!i didnt think a car could go that fast!it was like a fairground ride!!

its on par with the mclaren i reckon!!ill put a pic up of me sat in it tomorrow!

oh and just to keep this post window cleaning based i picked up a new job off him as well!!

i honestly didnt think a car could go so fast!!

the acceleration was mind blowing!!500 brk horsepower!!!

I have a customer who's into Jaguars and he had an X-Type and an XK8 convertible at the time. As I'd recently driven my first Jag, an XJ8 and was blown away by how comfortable it was, I asked him if his XK8 rode like a proper Jaguar with it's 20 inch rims. Amazingly he gave me the keys and invited me to find out! Very nice car, only 300 bhp though, and as when I drive all convertibles it was the Winter and horribly cold - very kind of him though.

.....I'm with you Daz, fast cars dont do it for me......but its a good point....I struggle to look enthusiastic when customers show off something you wouldnt cross the street for.......their scatty Poodle.....their latest attempt at abstract sculpture.....their bottle top collection from trips to the West Country in the seventies with auntie...(no I'm not bored, i'm yawning cos i was up late last nite, honest)

cant help but agree, not saying ive never gone above limit (currently just got my 1st ticket) but on country lanes at that speed is ludicrous, im sure its fun, but people walking / horse etc on any number of blind bends doesent bode well at that speed, hope you were exagerating,

it was a wide country lane and yes he was doing 140 mph.in fact he went from 60 mph to 140 mph in less than 5 seconds!!

like ive already said i wont get in the car with him again!!

its easy to do 100 mph on the motorway in my car but i try and stick to the speed limits but dont always succeed!!

), motorways you can see way ahead and make better judjements, country roads though are differant, that said (although never in a porshe

I agree, it's not funny when you're sat at traffic lights an a cyclist comes down the inside and whacks your mirror and just rides off.

he accelerated up to 140 mph in a few seconds from 60 mph.this was not on a narrow country lane!he also did 60 mph around a roundabout.thats when i thought it was all gonna go wrong but the car just stuck like glue to the road.

remember this is a car that had 500 bhp!!

its not something i will do again.even if my brother buys one i wont go out in it if he drives like that.its scary that they even have cars this powerful on normal roads.

looks like my brother will be a millionaire in a few years the way he s going with his business so knowing him he will buy something similar like an aston martin!!

cars like that can easily reach speeds of 140 in a few seconds at that bhp from 60 mph,not that i agree its the right thing to do though,

im sure most of us have been idiots on the road in the past me included,i use to race motorbikes in my sierra cosworth 400bhp years ago up to 160 mph,now think sometimes how easily it could of gone wrong,im lucky still be here,

daz that seems crazy tho 60 mph round a roundabout,i take it he didnt turn right on it

An off we go, the usual suspects ganging up but now their doing it to Daz who in my opinion is one of the most honest and genuine posters on here, ive been in 911 turbos and ive raced against them, they will easily go round some roundabouts at 60mph, there 4 wheel drive some of them, i drive a scooby with 350hp that will give a 911 a good run for its money. There is a time and a place for high speed driving, mainly on the track but if one of you tell me youve never broke the speed limit then ill call you all liers as well. difference is a 911 turbo will stop from 140 quicker than a mondeo will stop from 60

he had a Audi rs4 before it and even they are fast but no comparison ... I earge anyone who thinks there card fast to go in a Nissan GTR lol! It's the 8th fastest car around the nurberg ring!
