Another corona question
« on: March 23, 2020, 04:43:53 pm »
If I am to believe the advice from 111 telephone NHS, then my wive, kids n inlaw have all had this virus and thankfully they seem to be over the worse of it now. Also pleased nearing the end of 14 days and I seem to be 100 un affected.

My question.  If ones have supposedly had the virus and come through the other end OK.  Can we still run the chance of passing it on if we come into contact again with it or would our immune system start to attack it straight away.  Would we still need to follow the protocol for social distancing etc etc or could we simply be carriers of it and still need to be concerned

Ones should probably seek medical advice rather than hearsay off of ones on the internet.

Have you tried getting hold of a doctor to ask? You cant just walk into one at the moment or atleast here anyway.
2nd I have posted the same question on the NHS coronavirus Doncaster page but obviously theybare waayy too busy to be on favebook answering questions.
Unless im looking wrong, the government pages dont seem to answer the question other than stating how long you should self isolate for and is not clear apart from sweeping everyone with the same directions.

But also your just guessing  they've had it from someone on the end of the phone, unless they have been tested then you'll never know for sure.

Why is one asking a bunch of window cleaners medical advice?

Is one a dipstick?

Boris' medical adviser bloke mentioned a test that would show if you have had it as opposed to if you have it. No word on it yet.

I'd err on the side of caution if ones were me.

Because there seems to be a lot on here paranoid or anxious about all the uncertaintity and may have read or come across some info which they could share.
Yet clearly mistaken.

The article P1w1 highlighted is one article I recall being highlighted when it happened in china and yet nothing more has been said about it, as far as Im aware.

Yet if in an household and a person shows signs, then they have to self isolate for 7 days whilst everyone else is 14.  Therefore provided theybare well after 7 days, they can venture out again. Yet no indication if they are save from contracting it again or if they could catch and still pass it on whilst being immune.  Therefore if a total lock down occurs, would all the many who have successfully survived still have to follow this as well, when clearly they wont catch it again. Unless they can catch it again

I am guessing that they must have shown symptoms for you to feel the need to phone the 111 NHS advice line?  If so why haven’t you been self isolating?

Wasnt me" as the song goes. I dont work anywhere near conisborough.

Who said I havent been self isolating?   Ive been talking/posting on here quite abit about all the ones in family who are poorly and about the work i havent done since last month and how im hoping bigger jobs at the end of march/early april dont cancel so I can get some money in 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Hence my questions about afterwards, is my family save if they have already had it as they showed all the symptoms. Dont go on about the test because you know they dont test you unless you are high risk or your symptoms worsen.

So when i do go back to work, i will be doing my normal hygiene which is keeping hands clean etc etc anyway but do i still need to be on high alert or can i totally relax knowing that my family is ok. Again obviously aware of possibility of just being a carrier, hence my question

Nathan stop tripping yourself up! You posted on March 20th, yes 3 days ago, that you’re working half days because of your wife’s illness🤔

Ones may not have had the virus at all but merely a cough and a cold as is normal for ones at this time of year. If you didn’t get the virus then I suggest you put yourself up for medical research immediately and save the planet!
Nathan, when your customers hear the whole family has had or still has the virus I would think ones business will be over for a while. Are there any confirmed cases at your hospital?

Oh come off it Nathan. There’s zero chance of you being isolated for 14 days and not telling ones on here about it over and over.

If there’s anyone In your family showing symptoms I’d suggest you really do the right thing.

Nathan, you are asking a question no one knows the answer, the virus has not been around long enough to know that once you have had it you can't be reinfected, that is usually the case as we usually build up an imunity but Covid 19 is a noval virus which means it is a new unique virus and as such there has to be uncertainty about how it will react long term.
