Just wanted to know, thse who use a car, what insurance company you use.
I had a van and had business insurance but was involved in a smash up before xmas.
Van wrote off now in a legal nightmare with claiming costs etc.
To 'mitigate' my costs i wanted to use my car for work, but my current provider will not cover me for business use they say i need commercial.
Ive done a quick google and commercial insurance brings up company cars and fleets insurances. I can not find how to find a policy for my car.
I do not do alot of work, my missus will use the car for work still mostly but obviously i want to be legal so need a policy for social,domestic and commuting but also to include travel for window cleaning and carrying ladders.
Im currently with swift and they say carrying a ladder constitutes tools and so i do not qualify for their business cver, i need commercial which they do not offer.
