but Paul, the post by Countryfresh stated that they were doing a larger version for truckmounts. How much bigger can you get then 16" 6 heads.

Is it still a plastic wand head glued to an alum. pipe?

As I understand it, at those prices, you could purchase a titanium wand.

Is there something in the water?

I have emailed John Sharp for more details of the 500psi version. ie wodth, no of jets etc.
Will post his reply as soon as I get one.

The T/M version shown at the CCDO as we know is 6 jet 16", no 1's, 4x110, 2x95 at the ends.

the ones for 150, 300, 500 psi are 2 jet, 12", no other info yet.
hoped they would have been at least 14", 4 jet for the higher of those pressures

taken from the Don Jon website;

When tested against other traditional wands, the Evolution removed twice the moisture of the next best performing wand.

ABSOLUTE CRAP!!

this is impossible, I must already remove at least 50% of the moisture from the carpet, according to Don Jon this wand would remove double, so the carpet would be totally dry.

Mike

Your maths are not quite correct. ;)   If you remove 50% and they reckon this wand removes 50% more than you already do, that makes a total of 75% removal

that was a conservative estimate :D

its more like 80%,  so 50% more is 120% which mean the carpet is 20% Drier than before I pull up outside the door :P :P

No you are correct Mike. Just read the Don Jon site./ Twice as dry as you would otherwise get them.  Wonder if they have 'Trading Standards' in the States.  What happens to carpet fibres if you get them drier than 100% dry? ???

Not really worried what its made of, its lighter, got more jets, better air flow( apparently) and only $580 if bought direct from USA ( plus post and taxs)
Im in for one  :D

I asked on truckmounters about the wands they have just bought against this one and I was supprised by the responses.

Not that impressed will stick with the two jets I have! What’s all this rotationally-molded carpet wand ;D

i have the evolution wand on loan at the moment, it's the 16" that was at wolverhampton, i have been using it whenever i can bearing in mind it is 16" wide. it's good. very light, it has a slotted glide on it so it picks up all sorts of c**p on the carpet but is easy to push/pull, the 16" has a 2" vac tube so with a truck mount it SUCKS and i mean that in a good way!!! the head is quite large as it is an all in one constuction, the down side to that is that it's not always easy to get under say low radiators, the wand head gets in the way, but if that's a worry, it only takes a couple of secs to change to say a stair tool to reach under there and most radiators are well off the floor anyway. personally i like a hybrid glide and i don't know if they are available or indeed the price of a new glide. the wand does 'give' a little on some carpets and that feels odd but it doesn't feel like it would break at all. the only real downside to the 16" wand that has 6 jets is that there is no splash guard and the outer jets don't seem to reach the full width of the wand, this could be a problem when it comes to rinsing up to the skirting board, i have been turning the wand at an angle to spray and then rinse or hitting the edges from full on as it were. i don't know about this issue with the other wands in the series, ie the 1.5" vac tube models.
some of the lads at the sdo said that it compared favourably with their ti wands regards weight, ie it is very light

all in all i think it is a very good wand and i hope that john gott, hydramster, has forgotten i have the wand on loan!!

as a ps to my previous post if i had one of these wands i would just change the outside jets to a wider spray pattern to cover more carpet, i think this would solve the 'reach' problem at the edges

Would imagine however, that its life expectancy will be a good deal shorter than the Ti
