Your appearance must come into play here granted I have not done any door to door selling of my services, but I often go out to quote between jobs, have a smart uniform, I wear a polo shirt with the company name on it, embroidery is better than stick on.

Ian just noticed I have one of those stickers on my door asked the wife about it it’s been there for years ??? the only one I take note of is no shoes as I put it there!

pleased to know that ur actually going paul, good luck
im sure if your approach and look is right , as already mentioned, you will do ok ,
dont get disheartened if negative response on your first
few knocks, it could make you think this is a waste of time keep trying, then all of a sudden you may have 5 or 6 taken an interest with in a few doors
now that will be a great boost and will wish you had done a long time ago
have faith, be patient, most do actually listen to what you have to say
good luck again keep us all informed
geoff
who ever said dont knock before u try ,i never tried dog crap but i know i wouldnt like  haha

Set a time limit or number of contacts.

When I started with Everest I had to speak to 100 people in the morning. Actual contacts. not just door knocks.

And 100 in the evening.

You may need liquid refreshment and know where the loos are.

Door Knocking is a great way to build business we are knocking around 750 houses per day at the moment. and have done for the last six weeks

Not in then leave a leaflet have been knocking 9:30 till 4:30. and will have canvassed all the areas we want to by the end of this week. Starting monday we will reknock same areas from 2:00 till 8:00 it will be faster as have got rid of all the coffin dodgers and unemployed etc and picked up a good few: customers on the way. it is also three weeks into the school holidays so lots of people home.
after 3 weeks of this we will go out a few satuardays to prime areas 10:00 till 3:00 and this should see the areas done we will leave a leaflet every time.

Not everyones cup of tea but it works.

Cheers
