Hi everyone,
I'm looking to send out a letter to local businesses regarding the carpet cleaning, however, I'm not to sure how to approach the letter. Should I put features and benefits to my services or just ask who’s interested and then send a second letter out with more info and hopefully an appointment for a meeting.
OR would any of you guys have a letter I can use information from?
Thanks in advance
Alex

Alex,
Always sell benefits not features.
E.g We have a Twin vacuum carpet cleaning machine with a 200psi pump - Feature
Our top quality carpet cleaning equipment will leave your carpets looking fresh and bright - Benefit
Cheers,

Alex,
My only marketing is done whilst and by cleaning, but It seems to me the two-letter approach would be a waste of time. In effect the first letter would be "Do you want me to try to sell you something" question.
If the prospective customer is already reading something, you should be selling then and there. A follow-up phone call within two days of receipt of the letter , whilst your many benefits are fresh in mind, should pay dividends.
John.
