I agree about the rose tinted glasses thing. I quoted 2 hours on an office clean which I thought was a quick wipe over in the toilets and kitchen and a dust and a hoover. The toilets were so bad that it took me 1.5 hours just to do them. I've had a couple of these who said that their previous cleaner could do the place in 1 hour 15 minutes. when I saw the toilets it was obvious that they had just wiped over the seat because behind the toilet was thick with cobwebs and dirt and it ended up being a deep clean.
It seems a lot of people don't seem to do the bottom of the pedestal or round the back. Is that common?
Going with the spirit of the forum and everyone being so friendly. If I get the job, is there anyone in the Cambridge area who would like to share the job with me and split it 50/50. That might be a good solution.
