Anybody got or used a wet blast/ sand blast pw attachment?

Anybody got one of these. A few places sell them at around £45.
We have lot of boss tower scaffold that needs its annual cleaning to remove mortar snots and paint. Im hoping one of these at a distance would make a good job of it. I got one of the lads to do it last year with a wire brush and it forever.

I have two of those (at around that price) - they don't work very well under 21LPM.

We cleaned some white lines - brand new ones off a car park and went through about a tonne of sand. The cleaning up wet sand was a nightmare.

I am fortunate to have an easier solution now!

Exchange engineering do one so do qwashers on ebay. Works well in graffiti ect when chems wont shift it. Great piece of kit to have in the van. It will shift the crap off the scaff towers but be prepared to clean up all the sand!

Will be used with a ws202 machine so hopefully will work well. I'll give qwashers a a ring in the morning

I cleaned a set of old rusty transit rims back to bare metal and sprayed them today, 5 rims inside, out and the beads with 4 bags of kiln dried. Took about 3 hours start to finish which included removing the tyres

I got one of these for the graffiti problem I had and it did the job great. I only use 15 litres a minute as well . Great for cleaning brick but found it took some of the brick off if go too close. Sand was a pain to get rid of afterwards.

The theory is that the soda explodes on impact and releases energy in the change to CO2 and this does the cleaning. Soda is £20 a bag and less aggressive than sand. It does not all explode and the remaining soda does dissolve but can also be helped with citric acid.

Soda still needs clearing up if wet blasted, just like sand. We used a bit on a load of graffiti and it was good.

Did another wet blast job today in heavy rain. Not easy! hard to keep sand dry prior to being sucked up by lance. Also spent more time today cleaning up sand after cleaning than actual wet blasting.

If its so bad why use it ? Only make the hole in the bag with the probe and buy a decent wet vac - I've heard Numatic make a very good domestic gutter vac and I think Fisher Price might be worth considering

Thanks Bdcs. I was pouring sand into a bucket. Got a great wet vac but as I use it off the custys electric it would have been too far away to use it. Also a Benny for the vac would be too big. The Benny for my hotbox is big enuf but not enough kva to run the vac.
