Title: What web page address to have?

Im having a web page done, and I thought I read a while ago that it is best to have your area in the web address.
So for instance as I am in West Sussex, is it best to have something like www.west sussexcleaning.co.uk rather than www.bdcleaning.co.uk.

Any info would be a big help.

Call it what you want , google will go off the relevant content of your page .

I.e.

Address
Telephone no
Google maps listing
Key words in your content
Photos with tags
Headings

Make sure all your nos and address link up and your consistent as google looks for trust markers

West Sussex is a bit vague, but if you get a lot of work in a particular town then it might be worthwhile using that as there is a definite boost to your ranking for searches relating to your domain name and people usually search based on towns rather than counties. The usual other factors still apply, but it can certainly be worth it.

So many people have no imagination and just use their initials as their company name.
It's just got "one man band" written all over it.
Think big with your name, even if you are a one man band.

An EMD exact match domain is okay if you are only wanting to be local, a domain like greencleaning.com is a brandable domain and can cover more areas than Sussex

One man business or a big business sounding name, It swings in roundabouts. Some people like to help small businesses, others like to go with a big sounding name as a business.   Most businesses don't really mind. If your local then most local businesses will stick to someone local.  Either way  always make sure your website looks professional, and well worded content, even the source. Don't over spam your website.
