In a past life the company I worked for got an employee, who was fairly well clued up with MS Access, to create a database for production.
It was basically a database with a pretty bolt-on front end with dropdowns for selections etc., one department added the items they had built, serial nos etc, another department added theirs and so on, then final assembly allocated and issued the parts via the dropdown menus.
This can be easily adapted for cc's if someone is familiar enough to create it in the first place. Main benifit....... can i take your details madam.... which level of service would you like.......... that'll be...... ta very much......
Easy peasy... if you know access well enough, and I don't.
I think this would be better than excel, as the customer will see something other than a spreadsheet, something along the lines of the fast track boys.
Just a thought.
