Solutions have made a new prespray called Nitro for restorative cleaning and its a ... detergent. Bit of a shift from their normal dogma, I think I'm going to get some and give it a go.

Solutions did a detergent before shockwave so its not that off track , and ive used power burst,blitz,f90,um and tons more and shockwave is as good as any and cheap, never encountered any re-soiling issues on repeats ive done and only rinsed with plain water or some f90

I'd be interested what the active ingredients is when you can dilute it  in the 100-150 range, considering the great minds at Chemspec  can only produce a prespray with a maximum. dilution of 35-1 range.

What is solution using that Chemspec don't know about?

always Derek,  always   ;)

nick migh be an ........  , and yes he is, and his machines crap
but I rate his chems high, cant see different between his spm and pur clean and price much better etc.
spoters like mpower, pog, resolvit, spotsolve can not be bitten in many situation by any prochem or chemspec. Just my opininion and noone have to agree. Of course everyone need to have a range on spotters from few manufacturers as some work better in many situation.

Well the mention of a new product has certainly divided or.... reaffirmed some opinions.

I agree that there is never any harm in trying out  new product otherwise we could be missing out on the next big advance. Looks like the next big advance may be a step back to detergent technology though.  ;)

its Not better than um ,its a problem solver , and i havnt had to use it for a while as the carpets ive been cleaning have only needed Mpower or dynamall .

I have been using f90 bio solve with good results when used in conjunction with the other chems or on its own and must say its great stuff . a lot on here knock mpower but it works for me on most jobs and at 120/1 whats not to like

I really can not believe that so many of you can tell the difference between the products you use ::)roll

Can you really tell the difference?  if somebody was to pre spray  with different products on same carpet and you didn't know which was which ,I doubt it very much !!!  would even go as far as saying ,cleaning with hot water only you may not tell ;)

Imho   You get a good result with a product and You believe that's the product for you, similar to the placebo effect.

If I put it another way , your basically saying that carpet cleaning in the past didn't produce the results ::)roll as the latest products were not available. like.

who ever said dont knock before u try ,i never tried dog crap but i know i wouldnt like  haha

Did they say whats in this Nitro stuff  ...  i would guess main ingredient is one of the Ester solvents  , 2-butoxyethanol or similar .
Then perhaps a dash of surfactant and one of the sodium salts .
All of these cleaning products are largely made form the same ( relativly small ) ingredient list  .
Most Brands comparable products are so similar it makes little difference  , as the previous post suggests .
Certain prespray ingredients might be more efficient in certain soiling conditions though .
Dilution rates are an arbitrary number imo .

Shockwave is a prespray and Ultimate Master is a rinse!!

Because ?   :)

Like all these powders they are both mostly sodium carbonate and phosphate  , they both have a small surfactant content  ...  and they both have a small solvent content  .   Shockwave has DPM ester as its solvent and UM has d-limonene as its solvent .
The other ingredients ...  are they both suppose to have an enzyme content ? ,  and UM has an percarbonate content .  Anything else , antifoam etc is of little relevence .

So both could be a prespray , in the care of UM you would have the solvent , surfactant , oxydizer ,enzymes all working during the dwell /agitation .

The percentage of solvent in both is pretty small , thats why you might use a dedicated prespray seperatly of combined in the mix with the powder to boost it . The concentration of the dedicated prespray would be greater .
I often prespray with UM ... but i do boost it as desired by adding citrus prespray ( d-limonene content  )
and i also get an ester from mistral ( butyl glycol ) and bung it all in together for the bad stuff .
