I never feel compassionate  ;D

The only way firms can afford to give away a free pole is if they are desperate to get rid of rubbish poles or are making so much money on the larger poles they can afford to swallow the loss.  To illustrate:

If you would be happy paying us £165.50 +VAT + Delivery for a 24 ft Glass Fibre X-Tel with hose, plastic gooseneck and Super-Lite brush, we would happily throw in a 9 ft Glass Fibre X-Tel with hose, plastic gooseneck and Vikan Mono-filament brush for free.

Alternatively, you could pay the standard £109.50 for the 24 ft and then pay the £56 for the 9 ft!! Which sounds better to you?  :)

lol.. cheers alex ,

your all heart...

it was only a joke , trying to unwind.

I do understand business and offers are rarely such,  but like i said earlier i run down each avenue in everything i buy until i think i have a decent deal for the resources i have.

one day i will buy the best, but not just now.  ;)

Thanks for your input.

Gary.

All window cleaners are tight, myself included!  If you have the good sense to be a window cleaner, you have the good sense to want to get value for money.

The X-Tel glass fibre looks really good value, anyone know what its like to use? Is it a heavy pole in use?

 Hi GAZZASP8

You must have strong arm muscles by now.  Those 40 footers weigh over 7 kg.  We made the decision earlier in the year to stop selling the 40 ft Universals as we felt that they contravened basic health and safety principles and would almost certainly lead to long term physical damage if used for too many years.

Hi sheepmeister

The X-Tel Glass Fibre poles really are good to use.  Apart from using our Super-Lite poles (and prototypes) we use them for everything else.  We have 2 x 13 ft, 2 x 21 ft in constant use.  Whilst they do have greater flexibility than the Universal range, they are so much lighter and have shorter sections that they really do make life easier.  We have had several window cleaners locally come up to us and thank us for selling them an X-Tel as it had revolutionised their work load.

Thanks guys, think I'm gonna go for the 24ft Xtel GF pole when funds allow. Will I be able to do 3rd storey work with that?
