What do you think of Ionic Hydra Pole
« on: September 08, 2019, 11:30:55 pm »
Hi,
I'm looking for a new pole. Was looking at Ionic Hydra pole but I only ever had Gardiner's poles.  Anybody used Ionic poles before?
Cheers
Steve

Some of my mates use ionic, terrible poles.

Stick to gardiner, or if you want a change, try facelift or the new ova-8 poles.

Ionic have a reputation for being overpriced and naff in the pole area.

It would be nice to get a review on the new ionic,s poles, the do make decent equipment it's just pricey with poor customer service. The last ionic pole I bought was a swift 45, take the brush and price out of the equation and you had a excellent pole..

Ionic’s pokes have never been any good , I have had them all over the years , Gardiner’s are far superior, with there latest poles the clamp levers break easily I tried one at the window cleaning show got the pole up to 60 feet and the lever broke ruban Reynolds didn’t know where to look , Ionic’s kit is good but way over priced but there poles are in the dark ages , and as for the weight of there commercial brush heads well I won’t Evan go there .

Hi all
Before l start we currently only use Gardiner poles SLX 30s and the ultimate poles from Gardiner
I was in ionics office about 3 weeks ago and had a look at the new Hydra pole, they only had one as they were waiting for their first order to arrive, it was only a 20 ft pole, they reckon its their lightest, stiffest pole they have ever sold, and will be priced very well against offer similar poles.
What l do like about this pole is every section is coated so you will not get black hands from using it, l wish Gardiner would do the same with all their poles.
I also do have a 60ft Swift good pole but way to heavy to use for long periods

When I moved from Brodex poles  :-[ I trialled facelift, gardeners and ionics. The Ionics poles didn't even see a day of use, I stripped them down and made squeegee poles out of them. They're just not in the same class.

You mustn’t have ever used a gardiner pole then, because when I gave my mates ionic swift a go, I was shocked at how heavy, bendy and pants it was.

I mean it was borderline criminal how bad it was.

I had an ionics grafter (briefly) absoloute dog poo

I dont know how a company such as ionics that makes such well engineered (overpriced) products fails so miserably in poles.

Just one look at their poles on the website and you can tell they are turd.

I’m amazed then!

Because those swifts are utterly awful in comparison to an SLX or Xtreme

Don’t say that Adam! Turd is far more valuable than an ionic pole. So unfair to the turd mate.
