Uni valve - what we saying? Good? Bad?
« on: March 15, 2016, 02:56:52 pm »
Just wondering  what any users think about this product?..

Would be very handy for me on a certain job with the Gardiners backpack but before I get one I just want to make sure they are any good.

Cheers

I've actually forgotten about the uni valve.

Which in my opinion is a sign of a great product. It works pretty much flawlessly all day. Simple to operate and so far, very reliable.

It's a must have for a wfper I feel.

So far I'm loving mine, especially combined with the tubeless pole kit. I've switched from using a trigger valve and the difference is quite amazing. Can't say I ever found it too big a problem having all that pole hose lying at my feet, I just found ways to deal with it. But I'm not missing it. It's a whole different ball game working without it. Don't have to keep stopping to unhook it from things it's got caught on. Brilliant! Hope they last
We have a choice! We can do one or the other, the opposite, both, or neither depending on which way the wind is blowing.

Same as Jonny and M&C.
I used to use the pole hose tap, held in my hand. Real easy, just looped the hose round and turned on and off with my thumb. But did find the looped hose a little annoying at times, catching on things.
After using the univalve for a few weeks I've found the absence of having to loop the hose and tap in hand very refreshing. Makes my working day a bit easier somehow. Can't really say why yet coz the tap wasn't a big disadvantage at all.
I think it's an excellent innovation. See what its longevity is like.
