Car showroom tiles
« on: August 26, 2004, 07:33:17 pm »
Hi
I have been asked by a local car dealer could I clean his tiles like new. I tried a test patch and none of the dirt moved. I then called the local floor expert in and he had no luck.
The tiles are cream, not ceramic but the surface is quite shiny. Possibly slightly porous?
Can anyone offer any advice to save two cleaning companies blushes. :-[

Not a lot of detail in your post, but as you say called a local floor expert in and both could not remove the dirt, recommended you walk away.

It would really help if you could find out what the tiles are made from as this could influence the cleaning method. Do you think they could be stone?

What area of the country are you in?
I'm happy to offer any advice I can, but it's imperative to ascertain the floor tile type correctly.
