Hi,
im looking for some advice off people who've have some experience of commercial work
I dont have much commercial and have never raised the prices on them.
what % is it typical to put them up by? some are 5 years old and some (not all) are underpriced
thanks
Richard

I would say it depends on the type of commercial job is it a shop front or a large office block: nursing home , etc shops would be put up like domestic properties : large commercial jobs I would negotiate with the manager to come to an acceptable price for you both , you don’t want to loose a Grand a day job for an extra fifty quid , also if doing a number of commercial jobs for the same company maybe you can make very good money on some and ok money on others , it’s all swings and roundabouts: it’s what you want to earn at the end of the day if you are happy with it then it’s fine

thanks.
i was wondering what a typical percentage increase might be per 2 years or so.
i was thinking maybe 5-10 percent

One of mine commented last year that they expect the price to increase 2-3% or inline with inflation.
I think 10% could be seen as a bit much.

ive not put my commercial jobs up for years but i overpriced them in the first place.also i can clean them in half the time these days.....but i should bite the bullet really and put them up.
i dont have a problem putting up domestics though...
