George has stood me up
« on: September 26, 2007, 07:28:39 pm »
I updated george fine this evening, but when I went back to check something I got this "C:GEORGE\GDATA\Clround.mti cannot be opened for exclusive use. The table may be corrupted. Suggest rebuild". I have emailed george support, but not heard back yet. I have tried backup, but it keeps trying to open george and I get the same message. Any ideas?

Mid morning today I sent a question ( via george link) to Paul at George and have received a reply. Are you sure your message got thru?

George link?? Do you mean the link on the opening page of the programme? If so, it doesn't do anything. Probably due to this problem.

Hi

I don't have anything in my inbox that I haven't replied to ...

Install and run the Data Fix program from our Dowloads page - that should fix it.

If it doesn't, install the Data Restore program and restore you last backup.

when you first open george and it shows you all your money details.

at the bottom there are how much turnover you made in one year. hover over the years 2006/07 and it will highlight the year click and change it.

You are an absolute star Dave I 've just done it. As you say hover, then click and a little box came up where I could do it.
I want my year to coincide with the tax year which I thought was april 6 but from williamx post I am now not so sure. I have put in April 4, but will stand correcting if others think differently.
Cheers again Dave

Instinct tells me you are right, but just looked a williamx's post again. He gives 4th as end and 5th as beginning?
Bit strange eh?
