Grease on Fabric dining chair seats
« on: September 01, 2010, 02:43:13 pm »
Just cleaned 6 dining chairs with fabric seats that were pretty mucky, family had 3 young kids.
I preumed that a lot of the marks would have been grease ect were the kids had wiped there hands.

I had a sprayer with M Power in so gave it a go with no luck,I then tried Ultra Pac with better results but not brilliant, does anyone else have a problem with this sort of job and if so can anyone recommend a product that may give a better result.

Thanks Wayne

These kind of chairs are usually a problem depending on the fabric. Try an enzyme product. Give them a good spray and leave to dwell for around 15-20 minutes then rinse with very hot water.

Hi,

If they are made of "fabric" can you be more specific?

Otherwise we could just post random non helpful material.

How you clean it depends primarily on what it is.

Wot Access said.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

It was a synthetic patterned fabric, exactly what I dont know.I find it difficult to identify it further other than looking through my samples from the NCCA course that I have, a" flatweave" resembles it closest. Most fabrics are mixtures of different things so i find it difficult to be specific.
