Know the name very saddening. It may sound callous, claim society, hope organisers of the event are well insured or got a waver, I live in my little world

Puts things into perspective and reminds the rest of us how lucky we are.

A very sad time for all those that knew John.

I am very sorry to hear of Johns tragic death. I do not think I met him but on the Forums we all become friends.

My sincere symphony to Mrs Gregory and their children.

So sad, I was asking on another forum if John had a wife or family and some of my questions have been answered here. I trust we will all rally around and support his family at this sad time.

Never met John, just I've never met 99% of the people on here, but he was a regular poster, so I felt I knew him just as I feel I know many who post on here.

It's a bit like being in an old fashioned pub where people would mill around and just talk, micky take and laugh a lot, often doing business while socialising.

This is a good place where strangers behave like friends and often go to great lengths to help each other.

When I logged in I was confronted by a red leather cushion and a request for opinions on the likliehood of it's restoration. Posted by John Gregory.

The " pub " will be a bit subdued for a couple of days as we wonder what to say or to whom we should say it.

I just hope Johns widow and children are not endangered by this tragedy and any insurances are honoured speedily and with dignity.
