The IICRC  or whatever seems to be promoting itself and appears to have similiar aims to The NCCA

Although I intend to do the Course hopefuly in Nov and get my ticket to join NCCA I wonder if I am picking right horse.

Ian

IICRC has been around in the UK for a number of years now but has just opened its own administration office this last year.
IICRC is a Certification Board NOT a Trade Association and they do produce some excellent cleaning standard procedures

IICRC is owned by almost thirty Trade Associations in America, Australia, Canada and of course the NCCA in the UK
This is why the NCCA invited two speakers from IICRC to speak at Carpex also why the President of IICRC came over to visit. Paul Pearce, a Director of the NCCA is also a Vice President of IICRC.
So you can clearly see that NCCA and IICRC are working together to promote cleaning and cleaning standards in the UK

I hope this explanation puts things into perspective... thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain this to many others who may not be aware of the relationships

The July 2004 course was £299.63 inc vat with a credit of £58.75 inc vat if you join within 2 months of the course dates so I guess it will be around that this year and next.

Hi

Following on from my previous post I have now determined that the NCCA will be running a Spot & Stain course in 2005.

Feb 12th 2005 at the NSPCC training centre in Leicester.

At the present time the NCCA are not recognising Prochem courses as an entry into membership of the Association

Being tight Why does NCCA course cost more for two days than commercial companies

Is there a charge for exam

Still plan to do it just like to ask questions

One of the reasons our charges are more is because for the NCCA training is an income for us, ofcourse we would like to sell you a membership as well, although this is not compulsory. In many cases suppliers will be hoping to sell you (quite rightly) machines, chemicals etc., Also the suppliers training will possibly be product specific. The NCCA depending on the numbers attending will have at least 2 instructors available giving, I hope a wealth of practicle experiance. The courses are pretty well residential for the NCCA so you will get guidance, assistance, education for around 36 hours. Of course it does not stop there as we like the suppliers will continue to be on hand.
We also charge a registration fee within the course charges which goes towards your membership should you wish to join within 2 months.

I hope this goes someway to answering your valued question.

Many years ago the Prochem courses, when training was undertaken by Ron Tilley himself, were accepted as the levels of training were assessed by the NCCA as being to the standards required....applicants still had to have been in business for two years and endorsed by Prochem.

The practice ceased when Ron retired from running the training.
