Just an idea.

Insteda of posting sales letters has anyone tried faxing them?

Was thinking last night could be a good idea and cheaper than a stamp haha.

Seriously anyone tried it.

Friend of mine gets faxed sales letters through every now and again.

Hi Mark

Faxes are a good economical way of advertising but you have to be extremely careful that you're not faxing anyone who has registered themselves with the Fax Preference Service. If you buy a fax list make sure its been run through this list or you'll get fined!

As someone who breaks Teleephone Prefrence Service Regs I was thinking of doing same.

I believe cost of getting clean list would be equal to postage.

On the other hand if you send a letter you are breaking the

Mail Prefrence Service Regulations

And if private members bill on Friday gathers any pace if youknock at door you will be breaking door knockers regulations

Hence my previopus posts on phone pests.

I take it that you are referring to potential corporate customers and you only have the general fax number theses are vetted even if you put the name of the person on it, most are put in the bin, the same applies to e-mail.

Mark,

Ive been researching the subject regarding Telephone Prefrence Service and at Present I can find no evidence of a fine being levied.

I might be the first ::) ::) ::) ::)

What I object to is that companies such as Zenith get infor for a fraction of a penny per number.

We have to pay about 10p a number and it is only valid for a month.

The Big Boys caused the problem small guys got to pay through the nose.

I would happily check numbers are cleared but not at high fees.

Trouble is Trade Organizations for small people do not protest .

Committee members take view I do not like unsolicited phone calls.

Many US companies have built substantional turnovers by Telephoning and Faxing
