That equates to 5382 sqft, are you sure it's that big, sounds very big for a church hall. I can do 2000 sqft a day hwe easily if it's one big run, a lot less if it's lots of rooms and that's with bonneting after hwe. I'd charge about £650/£750 for it.

The first commercial I did was 200sqm; the full HWE process took me 6 hours of hard work.

It was a learning/turning point for me.  I now offer rotary cleaning to these types of (commercial) jobs and would expect to complete in less than half that time.

Incidentally, I recently won the contract from that first job.  They still want me to HWE it (not rotary), every 20 wedding events.  It should now take me about 4 hours to HWE properly... and there's still plenty of room to improve efficiency.

I'd suggest you cost it as a days work... by my standards it would have taken me a very long hard day (inexperience, inefficient, trying my very best etc).

Do a good job, with a smile, and leave them with your business card.

Hi wayne

Cant see it being that big.

The hall we attend is 2,200 sq feet I cant see it being nearly 3 times the size.

Depends on the job, most of the time i work out how long it will take, then times it by my day rate. I get a feel for the customer also as this determines the price. If you were to go the sqm rate i would normally charge around the £1.20 to £1.50 per sqm for this size of job which would net you between £600-£750. I have different sqm rates for different size jobs ranging from 0.80p to £2.50 per sqm.

I work on an average of 35sq m an hour for HWE.
Sometimes it will be a bit less sometimes a bit more
dependant on whether there's stuff to move distance
to water etc.
More if your LM.
Does sound like rather a large hall.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Could be right.

I quoted a mosque last year - 800+ square metres of Belgian Wilton!

Apparently I was too expensive at £ 2.00 sqM

About 4 hours for the job, and another 6 hours whilst they try and convert you  ;D

It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

As you know Hector, you hear the same thing from more than three sources and you start to accept it as fact.  ;D

I did about 100 sq mtrs in a Catholic church just before Christmas managed to get £3.50 a sq mtr which was lucky, trouble was it had a lot of spotting for wax, used an iron and a cotton cloth which worked a treat, but whole job took about 8 hours.
