Blue ink on vinyl floor and synthetic carpet
« on: August 13, 2012, 08:07:46 pm »
Just been to view a job which is ink marks all over some vinyl flooring and some spots on carpet.

I took along some solvent spotter and got good transfer to towel on the spots on the carpet so I'm pretty confident of removal with extraction, however the ink marks on the flooring got a transfer to the towel but wouldn't all come out of the flooring and just spread out to a paler blue mark.

Any ideas if this is likely to come out and if so with what?

Thanks

Wayne

Siroflex solvent cleaner is great on inks. Not for carpets, but you've got that sorted already.

Solvex or Dr.Schutz Elatex for the floor.

If its marmoleum it will need to be the Schutz product as mineral solvents will damage it.

Now this can be a problem  :)

Make sure you wear suitable PPE when using these products they are potent and require safe handling.

Definitely, never anything less than swimming trunks when using solvents  ;D
