Very Noisy Vac New
« on: February 19, 2011, 12:16:14 pm »
I have noticed yesterday and today that one of the vacs on my Steempro has become very noisey. It appears to be working fine.

Is this something to worry about,is it about to go?

Thanks

Ive ran the machine with just the noisey vac on and its working fine.

As for checking the brushes......I wouldn't know where to start, when ever I take anything apart it never works again ;D

Wayne  roger (dr carpet)has a number for an engineer for the machine and he comes out to you.

Sounds like its on its way out mate and better get it sorted now rather than later mate.

Wayne

This video shows you how to change the brushes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yND5ffhfqZU

Its a simple enough process but dont bother if you dont feel confident.

You should get paly with a technician. I have a good technician, mechanic, accountant and solicitor friends. All very important in business.

Thanks for that,I do have a Prochem dealer who does repairs ect only half a mile from me so I might give him a call tomorrow.

I will watch the video later though and see if its something I could try myself.

Forgive my ignorance - but are and where are the nights on the vac.

As a newbie this is all new to me,and maintenance is something I need some practise with.

Well i'd get in contact with this tech sooner rather than later as your machine WILL need attention throughout the year. Its one of those things...

A good tip is to find out when his birthday is and give him a wee gift, same with xmas and do the same other with other tradesmen and professionals you use for your business.
This small gesture will go a long way as most of his customers wont bother doing this and you will stand out! Great tactic when you have those emergancys with machinary and need things sorted ASAP  ;)

There is a spell checker....... at least when I am posting or replies.
Error word comes up with a red line underneath.
Try it, watch and see.

12 months if you are lucky, 6 months if you are not. The thing is to get the longest possible life out of your vac is to change the brushes
when they are half worn, this way you could a few years out of it, don't leave it until only a third of the brushes are left.
