has anybody found any alternative to proteckote for sealing van floor

fibre glass is way nbetter, have not used it though

you can buy fibreglass sheets and resin in any car shop[halfords]
its pretty easy to apply....not cheap though ;)

epoxy resin would do a very good job

add to it some FG matting and its a fibreglass floor

i once fibreglassed a balcony floor over looking bondi beach ( Oooooooo )

that ended up a nice job and the couple were going to use it as a workout ( gym ) area

There is also a resin available thats used by builders to put on flat roofs. Don't know what its called or how much it is though

You can get fibreglass kits for van floors, I used it myself, stinks to high heaven and your  - gloved - hands look like a hairy porcupine when you've finished!!

Way harder wearing than Protectacote and before...er...what is the now acknowledged leader in floor protection?..anyway, it was the standard at one point.

Cost a year or two ago was about £100 or so for a van the size of a vivaro/traffic/primastar.

At one point, Peter Fogwill could supply the kits, don't know if he still does....just checked, yep, he still does, hopefully the link won't be disabled...

Prices from around the £80 mark.

B&Q do a rubber paint..used it to repair my shed roof once and then tried it in the van....nearly two years later and it still looks good and waterproof...not bad for about £20 a tin :)

i painted the berlingo floor with garage floor paint from wicks, 14 months on and its still fine, though it doesnt have any traffic on it

thats what ^^^ matts garage floor paint would have been.

resistant to water and also strong chemicals.

I also used this stuff, but it chips easily..

I just bought some rubber matting to put on top
