Daz, sorry to state the obvious, but get yourself to a Doctor and let them recommend a specialist, so you know exactly what it is!
Mrs Window Cleaner hurt her shoulder a few years back whilst Ceroc dancing, in pain for weeks and then she went to Doctor/Physio. Her shoulder ball and socket had been pulled out by half inch. Six months of physio...all sorted.

Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is caused by twisting ligaments around tenons. Avoid twisting motions and within six months it will correct itself if you don't want to suffer the agonising pain and have to have an operation to have ligaments untwisted,......worked for me as I was due an operation. Figured out what I was doing wrong, stopped it completely to this day, never required an operation, pain disappeared, CTS disappeared and will never do what caused it in the first place ever again :)

It was caused by exerting pressure whilst using screwdrivers for tightening jubilee clips, wringing out window cleaning cloths, anything that involved applying pressure whilst twisting. I was slowly developing lumps at my wrists because of it. I stopped everything I could think of that could possibly cause my ligaments to wrap around my tenons because my doctor booked me in for an operation on both wrists to have it all untangled. I chose to figure out what was causing the problem in the first place....stop doing it........and six months later my wrists were all sorted, the lumps had gone, the pain had gone and my tenons and ligaments had untwisted themselves. No therapy, just a methodical manner to solve my problem and it worked which I'm truly grateful for.  Now I use electric screwdrivers, never wring any cloth out not even washing up cloths and the like

It's because youve used extreme poles for years and now you've gone back to a heavier pole!

Mayb not. But it won't help that's for sure.

i still use xtreme poles over 25 ft.its not the poles mate as i suffered with it before i got my slx.

thanks lads for all the advice and help.the exercises cookie put up are helping.ill be doing them every day now and ill see how i go on now today.

maybe i should strap my wrist up when at the gym?although im not getting any pain in my wrist or hand.its mainly numbness in my thumb and first 2 fingers and a bit of aching.it only affects my right hand.
