ronnie ive just had trackers fitted by pinpointers http://www.webvehicletracking.com/

i got fed up stressing over the amount of fuel i seemed to be paying out for so one of reasons i got the tracker fitter as it works out your fuel usage for each journey etc

ive taken the vans off the lads for couple of reason one coz they freeze up outside, two coz its cost me money for them to get to and from work everyday, three coz mileage constantly going up, four if they dont turn in for work its me who then has to pull other off work for me too go and pick the van up, five coz i can fill the vans up for next day in the evening save paying them to turn a ten min job in to thirty minutes and hang around the unit

now ive taken vans off them they all expect me to pik them up on cold days told them no chance they all live different areas

since i got the trackers fitted u realise how much fuel actually costs one of them took van home and dropped the other lad in town not even at home which is further journey was 3.9miles at a cost of 79p which doesnt sound a lot but if 2 or 3 vans are doing that each day there and back 79p x 6 begins to add up =£4.94 x 5=£23.70 x 48 working weeks =£1137 there expecting you to pay for them to get to work

ive seen my arse i said if you worked at vauxhall the general manager doesnt go round picking up the staff or footing the bills for the journeys to work so why should i as small business owner

if they all bought a bike they could all make it to work in ten minutes actually shorter distance by bike than driving for all three

I do, he pays for his own insurance and I fill the van once on the 1st of each month. Any fuel over and it's out of his pocket.

When I first started I was allowed to take the van home.
I really appreciated having it and kept it immaculate and never thrashed it.
After I left, a series of jokers (one of them my brother) abused the vans so the perk got stopped.
It can only take one to mess it up for a lot.
Trust has to be the biggest consideration surely.

i'd never let them take the van home overnight.

i have had a couple of people applying for jobs asking if they get to keep the van, and have had a WC of mine ask why i dont let him.

i dont pick them up or drop them off either. another waste of time.  if they cant get to work on time, they aren;t the right people for me.

i dont even let them keep the van keys overnight.  they have to pick them up off me every day.  had too many jokers leave and not give me the keys back quickly, trying to hold me to ransom.

much better to start from day one and never let them take the vans home,  then they know where they stand.  employees don't like loosing benefits (who would?!) and some will resent it.

Hi Dean

How many vans have you got now.

Is it 3 or 4 if youve still got that extra vehicle.

How do you do water, thats my biggest issue asking one of the lads to have a ro at his to fill his van.

I will give u a call soon & have a chat.

Should be doing a winter walk in bleaklow tomorrow so not then

Cheers
