Looking to set up a hard floor cleaning business, I have very little experience, I have been in touch with Tilemaster 're there full package ie training equipment website etc and looked at Tile Doctor
As anyone got experience of starting from scratch and want to pass on any advice is there a big market for the service

Big market for tile and stone. I have only been going at since October 17 and barely do carpets anymore, just tile and stone. Your location will be key to the market too. For example my area is largely Victorian so the main part of my work comes from restoration of those floors. You may be in a newer build location and have plenty of polished tile and stone that needs restoring.
You can also target commercial customers with maintenance schedules for safety flooring, hotels , schools and hotels etc.
Personally I think the market is massive and job ticket price is much higher than say carpets. Don't get me wrong carpets are fantastic and provide a solid cash flow for many many businesses. In fact I am going to begin pushing carpets again as I'm training someone up with the tile and stone.
Decent training and plenty of researched knowledge will set you up on the right track. Mistakes will happen but mostly they are all fixable. I find job satisfaction is high with tile and stone. Most jobs are more than one visit and it allows me to build a relationship with that client and after a while recommendations begin to come in.
I would visit for example tiling logistics to look at machines and have a chat with the guy and girls there.
