Is it me, or has the font size changed on the forum ???

If you have kids or a mrs it could be that they changed your settings in internet explorer.

Have you updated your browser to IE 7? All the text has bold-ish look.

If your mouse has got a wheel between the buttons, you can hold down the 'Ctrl' key and move the wheel - this will make the text size larger or smaller depending which way you move the wheel.
