$2700 for a charging lead?

That's what he said on Utube. If he had waited a week he could have bought his own back on Ebay for $1k. Maybe that's the reason some EVs don't come with a charging cable. Once your cable disappears you can let us know what was the cost to replace it.

I bought a spare.

£119

11kw 4m long, same as the one supplied with the van.

Buying a scaffold tower could save you money since you're doing a lot of roof cleaning, especially on bungalows in Norfolk. Consider looking for used ones on eBay to keep costs low.

I bought all mine from Ebay and then sold them all for the same price later on. Just before covid I could afford a brand new one and have continually added to it. It has paid for itself after a few years because I rent it out to a plumber I know.

For those GFS cleaning on properties where an over head power cable goes into a house via hole in fascia and into loft, this could be potential danger too where brush and carbon pole touches fascia close to power cable. Same applies with Carbon or Ali gutter poles

I'm looking at £4k for everything, and happy to spend less.

Pressure washer machine, fsc, buffer, hoses, attachments, chemicals, x jet or some equivalent, brushes, buckets, it all adds up

I don't use hypo but did think of spraying it with a bleach solution and leave it a couple of days and scrub it off.

Hi Simon W

OK thanks

Bryan

Here are a couple taken from Google Earth where we work.

The first is power lines at the house. We have to be careful cleaning the upper windows on each side of that power line.  If you look carefully, we can see power lines to the side of the house on the right. Those power lines pass in front of that side window that's open fractionally. That's a no no window for wfp (or any other method) to clean. Why they put power cables in front of that window is anyone's guess. It's unbelievable.

The second of the street shows the power lines down the street to the right. Power cables then divide for house supplies.
The pole to the very right with steps at the top are telephone power lines, They are not dangerous, but obviously we don't want to damage them.

The latest problem is how much copper is in the charging leads. They are going round early morning and pinching them and selling them or getting £60 of copper out of them.  They even chop them like what happened at Porsche & Merc garages and caused £80k worth of damage. Guy in USA woke up and had to buy a new one because it took the young guy 13 seconds to steal it. $2700 it cost him for a new one. I think hybrid is the real winner out of the RV revolution.
