How bizzare!
Is it real do you think, or has someone botched it together?
Wouldn't be very stable when extended on a sill or wall!
Would you want to be up there on a ladder balanced in the middle?!! :o

Are you serious, or is it just your sense of humour?

Some of thereplies to this thread have left me ???
Yes, the pointer is a real one, no they aren't cobbled together, years back I had a couple of extending pointers, useful tools, the ones I had were 8ft cos I found it easier to remover the pointer half of the ladder and use as a standard pointer ladder.
The bigger ones I found no good as when you took out the pointer it was too big to use by itself.
Usefull on large windows on commercial work and on the kind of stuff where it is difficult to use a pole (as against big plate glass where the use of a pole is a doddle).
I didn't read the details, but if it was a fairly newish double pointer then the current bid is a snip!
When you have them well extended they can feel a bit unstable though.
I have no idea if they will still comply with new guidelines on safe ladder use though ???

Ian

If it was closer to me, I'd certainly put a bid in.
I'm sure they're still H & S compatible because I was recently in a large specialist ladder supplier and they were selling them.
There are pros and cons with these ladders, but they're undoubtedly brilliant for sash type windows where you can't reach the top of them by putting your normal ladders beneath the window sill.
Will pointers you can stick the point in the top left corner of the sash window (obviously not on the glass) and gain easier access to the window.
