Description of the contract:
The Awarding Authority are seeking a company to supply the following contract.:-
The contract shall be for the provision of cleaning services at the Training and Development Centre. The
successful Tenderer?s staff will be required to have sufficient skills, experience and qualifications necessary to
execute the Services. The
successful Tenderer will be required to supply the Services on a daily basis, Monday to Friday (not including
any UK bank holiday) to include morning and evening split shifts. Additional periodic cleaning may also be
required. Periodic cleaning will
include (but is not necessarily limited to) carpet shampooing, stripping and reapplying polish, scrubbing floors
(machine and manual), high dusting, cleaning of upholstery and the cleaning of window blinds.
It is the intention of the Council to purchase periodic cleaning as and when required. The contract is intially
intended to cover only internal cleaning but it's scope may be extended to the outdoor parts of the TDC. In
delivering the Services the
successful Tenderer shall be required to adhere at all times to any health and safety regulations in force
including the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 ("COSHH?) and testing of manual
and electrical cleaning equipment. The
Council intends to award a contract lasting for an initial period of 1 year effective from 1 August 2012 to 31
July 2013, with an option (on the part of the Council) to extend for a further 1 year until 31 July 2014.
