Wooden floor
« on: September 18, 2009, 01:26:17 pm »
I have a customer who is taking up a carpet to expose a wooden floor.

Before major refurb work which will see walls come down etc and eventually the need for the floor to be sanded and re-sealed, they want to clean the floor and remove some sticky residues.

Not sure what the residues are but have been assured it's not adhesive or mastic.

Any thoughts on the best way to clean the floor, e.g. with a rotary but with what chemical / detergent?

have you taken a photo, if so send it to castlecleanings@aol.com.

if not, then if the sticky stuff is not too thick the sander should remove it all off,
