sent this m/c to a job this week, and would it hell start, tons of compression.
pull start aswell  :-\ 40/45 pulls and it fired ?. only bought this m/c last summer @ an
auction none runner, have a tool hire firm that work on sum of my m/cs, and they had this m/c and g-box &
pump spot on, in no time.

done a handfull of jobs wi it and lets me down. any advice lads.

also, this m/c hasent the luxury of electric start, is it a big job + expense
to convert to key from shoulder busting pull cord. cheers mal.

Were you holding the trigger down  :) :)when you tried to start it? could be an airlock in the pump.

If the engine runs after however many  Pulls, then the engine internals sound ok.

not sure how hard it is to add on elec start, after seeing how my elec start is, i pdoubt it would be too hard.

no matt no hose gun fitted @ time of trying. duno, if you think an starter motor will have
to be alighned and machine drilled etc. come on . someone tell me on here they will do it for beer money.
im thinking fuel starvation/injector ?

It will probably be a simple air leak probably at the fuel filter. The problem will still be there with an electric start so sort the problem and you won't need the electric start. Bleed the old girl before you try to start it and it'll probably start straight away

I always had injectors going on the GD411's. Never have that problem with the Yanmar's.

Rather than pay out for a new injector which are about £240 if I remember, I went to these guys http://www.hitechdiesel.co.uk/engine-diagnostics
and they pressure checked the injector. I've been 3 times. 2 of those visits they managed to clean the injector and 1 time needed a new end putting on. A tenner to clean and £60ish for new needle on end. It's comes back all soda blasted clean. See if you have a place local that has the right machine to test injectors.

apperantly not as easy as i thought converting to electric start. might get away with machining into flywheel and marrying teeth to starter, if not, its an engine strip down/convert/rebuild. new gaskets which wont be cheap as you got to go to honda.? no replica parts on the market. m/c firing on half a pull, and tested psi today 2900 which is spot on for an 9hp.
