who's using electric reels

Who's using electric reels from window cleaning warehouse or similar and how do you find them?

A subject I have interest in and no reply's. All the money you guys earn and still winding reels in. Soon as I have a few loose £,I will get one. Not much info video wise on them. Looked at some and look crap. Sick of winding, getting snagged on car tyres etc

Electric or not-they'll still get snagged.

Electric reels are for people who are weak or old. (Nothing wrong with either)
Watch all the weak people disagree now. Poling to 25' but getting 'shoulder pain'.

I think the power up reels offer the best bang for buck tbh.

I went a completely different route. Miles away from the finished product but the main question is has an electric reel made a difference?

A big fat YES on my setup.

As the hose goes through the floor via rollers sometimes i could get a nasty angle and reeling in wasn't fun. With a high torque motor (but slower) it will reel in anything.

I can make the reel much faster if i want with simply re-gearing it.

I doubt i will as i am very happy with the quality and set up.

Interesting.

I am trying to prevent RSI related injuries later on in life.

Been WFP for 5 years now and basically every upgrade is decreasing pain and discomfort.

I have to say i almost have my dream van setup. I laugh on the way home sometimes after a hard days "graft" i don't think my working life could be any easier lol.

Thanks, tbh i am drawing up plans now to have it all re done.

It's not perfect yet, will be using most of the core parts though. Just layout etc.

Looking at some major alterations. Keeps me off the streets eh!

i have the power up from Jordan king, love it, so much time and energy saved, going to the show next week seriously thinking of getting the remote control kit fitted , if you use a hose guide shouldn't get tangled.
For me it was a choice of turning a handle, roughly 250,000 times a year..........or just pressing a button

I`ve said this before, why have the reel in the van?
 I`ve bought an ordinary hose reel with 100ft of 8mm ex/di pipe. take with me to furthest part of job and plug pole pipe in and away I go. The pipe is stationary on ground so no excessive ware and doesn`t get snagged on anything.
 I finish the job at the nearest part to the vehicle, reel in, put in car, put pole in and that`s it. I`ve got Aqua-Tap fitted to pole, bloody fantastic bit of kit, so no worries of wasting water.
I wouldn`t want to carry the pipes you guys use but I wouldn`t like to buy them either. My length of pipe cost under thirty pounds.
The one thing is it does put more strain on the pack but a van set up would handle that I would think.
 An electric hose trolley now that`s what I want.
