WRONG WAY.
Just charge it normally, IE, My Battery charges normally at 7.5 amps per hour. When charged it switchs into safe mode.
But it can cause damage to the battery because the amps are to high which can then lead to the plates in the Battery becoming distorted due to increased heat which shortens the life span of the battery and effects its efficiency in operation.

RIGHT WAY.
You should charge the battery by Trickle Charging, my Trickle charges at 2.5amps per hour.. The Battery plates are protected and the Battery more efficent. The Battery Has a longer life span.

I have just bought another 85amp battery. Thats 3 in total, Come home put one on trickle, use the next one in line.

You should also protect your battery from Freezing, that also shortens Battery life.
