a few years back you could get a gardiner backpack ( branded differently ) for £45  as opposed to there £90 alex was selling them for - they are still going strong but the seller has since up'ed the price

personally i'd buy one or two before they realise they could make a lot more money per item !!

Even if you found the pump not beefy enough for our needs you could upgrade the pump for a tenner.

I got myself a nice little 12ltr jobbie last year but paid a good deal more than that. I'd go for it otherwise

I've got two Gardiner backpacks, one needs a new filter and the other needs a new pump and both the handles have the issue with the handle/lid falling off when picking it up (older style) so buying them that cheap would save me trying to fix them.

I asked the question this morning but yet to hear back. I've cancelled the best offer and requested two but they'll need to include a converter.

Can you just buy an Australian adapter ? Bought an  eu adapter only yesterday for a trip this weekend and saw them in store.

might just have to take battery out to charge in another backpack or charge with battery charger. bit of PITA but for 35 quid its not bad.

I've not checked what voltage these aboriginals use but you could probably just fit a new plug.

Paid £62 for two of them and they message back confirming that they have three pin plugs. Needless to say they sold out yesterday.

5mm inside diameter I think.
Rectus fitting straight in.

This is about all these back packs are worth!

Had a couple now and they don't live much longer than a year.

The chargers are cheap rubbish also.

Back packs are useful while they last.

Keep meaning to rebuild one out of all the spares I have.

Make it so it works with a good reliable charger, think my charger is called c tek?

I thought the Gardiner ones were good and they had a lot of use when I started out. One needed sent back for repair and one charger needed replaced which was no problem, but if these ebay ones go wrong it'll not be hassle free getting it sorted.
It would be good to rebuild one with a chemical resistant filter an everflo chemical pump and as said a better charger.
